The Minister of Municipalities and Housing announces the issuance of one million real estate registrations, with more than three million properties declared for registration.

His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Real Estate and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services “Real Estate Registry”, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, announced today the success of the Real Estate Registry in issuing one million real estate records, and the number of properties declared for real estate registration has exceeded 3 million real estate pieces at the level of the Kingdom, in a step that enhances transparency and reliability in the real estate sector, preserves rights, and achieves the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in digitizing the real estate sector.

Minister Majid Al-Hogail affirmed that this achievement embodies the Kingdom’s commitment to developing a modern and reliable real estate sector, and reflects the role of the Real Estate Registry as a strategic platform that supports digital transformation and enhances the status of real estate as a national economic resource. He pointed out that the Real Estate Registration System represents a qualitative leap that preserves the history of real estate in accurate records that include its descriptions, legal and physical status, and geospatial locations, which keeps pace with the best global practices in building smart cities and sustainable urban communities.

His Excellency added that the next phase will witness expansion in all cities and regions of the Kingdom and an expansion of the scope of digital services, which will ensure a smooth and safe experience for owners, investors and beneficiaries, and will enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global real estate investment destination, and consolidate the competitiveness of the Saudi real estate sector at the regional and international levels.

For his part, the CEO of the General Authority for Real Estate, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, indicated that the real estate registration system contributes effectively to preserving the history of real estate in records that include its descriptions, legal and material status and locations with high accuracy using the latest technologies, and that achieving the issuance of one million real estate records represents a qualitative leap towards a competitive and sustainable real estate sector, in accordance with the best global practices that achieve the building of smart cities and sustainable urban communities, which enhances access to the objectives of the comprehensive strategy for the real estate sector.

For his part, the CEO of the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (Real Estate Registry), Dr. Mohammed, confirmed  Bin Hamad Al-Sulaiman said that issuing one million real estate records in a short period is a qualitative leap towards achieving the goals of the real estate registry, which keeps pace with the Kingdom’s ambitions to achieve economic diversification and enhance the position of the Saudi real estate sector. He pointed out that every real estate record issued combines the legal force of the deed through its absolute validity after one year, and the real estate record that preserves accurate geospatial property data, which shortens the beneficiary’s journey and raises the level of certainty in transactions.

It is worth mentioning that the Real Estate Registry is working on building an integrated system that keeps pace with the latest global practices in the fields of governance and digitization, and continues to expand to include all regions and cities of the Kingdom, which enhances the reliability of the real estate market, contributes to attracting local and international investments, and supports the comprehensive development process within the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
