Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing signed today a joint memorandum of understanding with the Awqafna Charitable Endowment Foundation “Awqafna”, as part of the activities of the “Cityscape Global 2025” exhibition, which is being hosted by the city of Riyadh during the period from November 17 to 20, with broad local and international participation in the real estate and housing development sector..
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and "Our Endowments" in developing and growing the non-profit sector, and to enable non-profit organizations to participate in community initiatives and programs related to efforts to improve the quality of life and achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030..
The memorandum included coordinating efforts to launch joint initiatives that contribute to supporting municipal and housing non-profit organizations, by providing the necessary tools to raise the efficiency of community work, cooperating in designing programs that enhance the participation of the community and government employees in volunteer and development activities, developing innovative mechanisms to support the financial sustainability of non-profit organizations, in addition to exchanging experiences to raise their readiness to implement projects with social impact.
The signing of this memorandum comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing to expand partnerships with the non-profit sector, and to enable institutions working in community work to contribute to development programs, thereby enhancing integration between sectors and increasing the impact of initiatives on beneficiaries.
