- Developing urban transport management system through following the best practices
The initiative aims to develop the city transport management system and implement the best technical applications and cutting-edge management techniques for city transport management. This initiative seeks to set a plan for future roads, public transport, traffic management and safety, and it is concerned with the institutional and financing aspects of transport. It focuses on the public transport networks for the target cities and seeks to qualify human cadres in transport management at all levels in the target cities. A spatial database will also be created in order to improve traffic flow in addition to applying the key elements of traffic management (traffic information, traffic control, accident management and demand management), supporting vehicle drivers by providing traffic information on the roads through appropriate technologies, and locating black points for traffic accidents.
