His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Budair, today handed over a number of units in the Mada Oasis project - located in the northern Dammam housing - to eligible families within the developmental housing program in partnership with the Binaa Charitable Association for Orphan Care, during His Excellency’s visit to the Eastern Province to attend the first Community Participation Forum held from June 14 to 16 in Al-Khobar Governorate.
Al-Budair appreciated the generous support that the housing sector receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince - may God protect them - praising the great development witnessed by housing and development projects in the Eastern Province. He also thanked the Binaa Charitable Society for Orphan Care for its efforts in facilitating access to suitable housing for eligible families, stressing that these initiatives contribute to creating a balanced social environment through joint efforts with charitable societies. He emphasized the Ministry's and all relevant authorities' continued commitment to overcoming all obstacles and challenges to provide diverse housing options and solutions with high quality standards and facilitated procedures for citizens of all categories.
His Excellency also visited today a number of housing projects in the Al Wajha suburb in the Eastern Province to review the progress of work, stressing the need to continue implementing the projects according to the agreed timetables, and emphasizing that the Ministry will continue to supervise and follow up to ensure that the projects are implemented with high efficiency and on time in preparation for handing them over to the beneficiaries.
For his part, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Qaraawi, Undersecretary for Developmental Housing and Community Participation at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, praised the partnership between the Ministry and charitable associations, which represent a fundamental element in charitable work, and that strengthening these partnerships would achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom’s Vision, while appreciating what the Binaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province has provided in order to support the provision of housing for the most needy families.
The Developmental Housing Program is one of the initiatives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 - which aims to meet the needs of the most vulnerable families for housing support, through integration and partnership with charitable associations and civil institutions in all cities and governorates of the Kingdom.
