His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, begins today an official visit to the United States of America, during the period of August 18-22, during which he will meet with a number of officials in the US government and major construction and real estate development companies and financing entities, in order to strengthen the partnership between the two countries in the sectors of urban development, construction, building, finance and real estate development. His Excellency will also witness the signing of a number of agreements related to the real estate sector in various fields.
The visit aims to attract leading American companies to enter the Saudi market in the fields of real estate development, finance, supply chains, modern construction technologies and urban infrastructure, in addition to learning about the most distinguished American experiences and projects in the fields of urban development and exploring ways to benefit from them in the Kingdom.
His Excellency will begin the visit by opening a housing exhibition at the headquarters of the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Virginia, which will be launched with the aim of introducing Saudi citizens residing in the United States of America to the housing and financing options and solutions provided by the Sakani program within its integrated housing projects. His Excellency will also meet with a number of scholarship students to listen to their experiences and future aspirations.
During the visit, Al-Haqil will hold a number of high-level bilateral meetings with a number of officials in the US government and heads of a group of companies and financing bodies, in order to discuss ways of joint cooperation and exchange successful experiences in the housing and urban development sectors, and to review the leading investment opportunities that the Kingdom provides in the housing, real estate development and city infrastructure sectors.
The visit will include workshops between Saudi companies and institutions, most notably the National Housing Company, and a wide range of leading American companies in the fields of real estate development, finance, municipal services and infrastructure. More than 20 specialized American companies will participate in the workshops, which will last for several days, to review investment and cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing has conducted a number of official visits to strengthen international partnerships with major institutions, construction companies and real estate developers, exchange experiences, explore and attract successful experiences at the international level, and review the investment opportunities in the real estate sector that the Kingdom enjoys.
