His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid Al-Hogail, and his accompanying delegation visited the “Tokyo Takeshiba” building, which specializes in smart cities, their manufacturing, and the provision of technological solutions and creative ideas in this field.
Al-Haqil also met with a delegation fromToyota Motor Corporation, and reviewed proposals in several specialized fields; and studied what could be adopted in order to enhance the common understandings between the two friendly countries in all sectors and fields.
Minister Al-Haqil praised the potential and technical and human capabilities he saw in the smart cities, innovation cities and Japanese companies, stressing that it is important to benefit from them by creating strategic partnerships that help improve the quality of services and move forward more rapidly in the field of smart cities.
This comes as part of the Minister’s Asian tour, which began in South Korea for two days and continues in Japan for three days, during which he met with a number of ministers and prominent figures, and witnessed the signing of a number of agreements.
