Al-Haqil visits the Saudi pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020

His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, visited Expo Dubai 2020, which is being hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

His Excellency the Minister began his tour by visiting the Saudi Arabia Exhibition, which highlights the Kingdom’s future, reflects its diverse heritage and present, its promising investment opportunities, and introduces its future plans in light of “Saudi Vision 2030”.

His Excellency was briefed on the sections of the pavilion, its unique design and creative interactive elements, in addition to what the pavilion offers in terms of showcasing the major investment opportunities that the Kingdom presents to the world, which highlight important aspects of the Kingdom’s renaissance, its ambitious vision and aspirations for a prosperous future, based on its established identity and rich heritage.

His Excellency also visited the pavilion of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, and was briefed on the various innovations, technologies and economic and development opportunities it presented, appreciating the efforts of the UAE in hosting and organizing this global event, which facilitated a meeting of investors of different nationalities to discuss and explore investment opportunities, and provided an opportunity to meet all participating countries and investors in one place.

After that, His Excellency the Minister visited the pavilions of Colombia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Angola and Azerbaijan, and viewed the exhibits and the cultural, civilizational and social diversity that contributes to the success of the exhibition, strengthens ties between peoples and consolidates bridges of rapprochement and cooperation among them.

It is worth noting that Expo Dubai 2020 was launched in late September, hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, as the first time the major global event has been held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, with the participation of 192 countries from around the world.

Saudi Arabia’s participation comes under the slogan “An inspiring Saudi vision for a shared future.” The Saudi pavilion offers a glimpse into the Kingdom’s future under Vision 2030, where visitors take a tour using modern technology to express Saudi Arabia’s ambitions through four main pillars: (people, nature, heritage, and opportunities). The Kingdom’s pavilion is the second largest pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai with a total area of 13,059 m2, according to an innovative and sustainable design, which has obtained the Leadership Platinum certification in energy and environmental design.
