The Development Housing Program has signed a tripartite partnership agreement with the National Developmental Housing Foundation "Sakan" and the Charity Orphans Care Foundation "Ekhaa". The agreement aims to collaborate in providing more than 1,000 housing units for neediest Saudi families eligible for housing support in various provinces of the Kingdom. The signing took place in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman AlRajhi.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the first day of the Cityscape Global Exhibition, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh from September 10th to 13th, 2023. The Development Housing Program was represented by its Deputy Minister for Development Housing and Community Engagement, Talal bin Mohammed Al-Khunaini, Sakan Foundation represented by its Secretary-General, Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al- Kuraidis, and Ekhaa represented by its CEO, Engineer Omar bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein.
According to the agreement, the Development Housing Program will provide both Ekhaa and Sakan with all the necessary data about the neediest beneficiaries and their distribution across the provinces and cities of the Kingdom. It will also supervise and directly manage all stages of the project from its inception to the delivery of the housing units.
On another note, His Excellency Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing and His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development witnessed the signing of another cooperation agreement between the Social Development Bank and the National Developmental Housing Foundation "Sakan". The agreement aims to collaborate in the "construction completion" track under the restoration product, to contribute to the completion of housing units for social insurance beneficiaries and similar categories. The agreement was signed by the CEO of the Social Development Bank, Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Rashid, and the Secretary-General of Sakan Foundation, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al- Kuraidis.
According to the agreement, the Social Development Bank will allocate a track for candidate financing from the Foundation within the Restoration Product (Construction Completion track). It will provide funding for eligible beneficiaries who wish to apply for the Restoration Product from the social insurance beneficiaries category and similar categories, with a total monthly salary not exceeding SAR 6,000.
This agreement is part of a series of agreements witnessed on the first day of the Cityscape Global Exhibition, aimed at enhancing partnerships between various government and private entities to contribute to the development of the real estate sector in the Kingdom.
It is worth mentioning that the Cityscape Global Exhibition is the largest real estate exhibition in the world, hosted by the Kingdom under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, under the theme “Future of Living”. The Exhibition aims to showcase real estate projects, increase the contribution of startups in the development of the local real estate sector, provide opportunities for individuals to search for properties and housing units, discuss the future of the global and local real estate sectors, and support a culture of innovation and creativity in design and architecture.
