Al-Hogail inspects the progress of work in development projects in Tabuk, and meets with a number of investors in the Province

His Excellency, the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, today inspected several municipal and housing projects in Tabuk Province to review the progress of work in projects supervised by the province's municipality. The visit was attended by the Mayor of Tabuk, Engineer Hossam bin Mufaq Al-Yousef, as well as several officials from MOMRAH and the municipality.

At the beginning of the visit, His Excellency met with the leaders and officials of the municipality and the mayors in Tabuk to discuss the progress of work in the province. He also reviewed the progress and achievements in several ongoing projects in Tabuk, emphasizing the need to continue improving the quality of services provided to residents and visitors.

Furthermore, Al-Hogail met with a number of investors and businessmen in Tabuk Province. They discussed investment opportunities provided by MOMRAH in the municipal and housing sectors as part of the development programs and initiatives aimed at achieving the objectives of Vision 2030. He affirmed MOMRAH’s commitment to stimulating investment in the sector and providing all necessary facilitations for investors.

During the visit, the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing witnessed the signing of several investment contracts in various fields such as healthcare, logistics, accommodation, entertainment, and education. These contracts have returns exceeding 235 million Saudi riyals, with a construction cost of up to 400 million Saudi riyals. The new projects will contribute to creating direct and indirect job opportunities for the people of the province.

Al-Hogail visited several projects under construction in Tabuk Province, including infrastructure development projects, road efficiency enhancement, traffic improvement, urban landscape enhancement, and addressing visual distortions. He also visited Tabuk Valley Community project, which has reached a completion rate of 55%. He stressed the importance of completing the project according to the designated plans. Tabuk Valley includes 501 residential units and is the first project in the province to be fully developed using modern construction techniques, which will contribute to the speedy implementation of the project with the highest quality standards.

The Mayor of Tabuk Province affirmed that the visit is part of the continuous follow-up by the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing to the development and investment projects in the province. It aims to directly observe the updates of the regional municipalities in all vital sectors, highlighting the continuous support provided by MOMRAH to achieve the goals of the municipal sector within Vision 2030.

Al-Yousef noted the efforts to achieve the goals of the Municipal and Housing sector, which aims to have three Saudi cities among the top 100 livable cities worldwide by enhancing the quality of life that directly impacts individuals in the community. He mentioned that the municipality has implemented about 35 development projects in 2023, with a value exceeding 700 million Saudi riyals.

He added that these projects aim to develop infrastructure, improve road efficiency, develop pedestrian paths and bridges, manage rainwater drainage, and mitigate the risks of floods. Currently, work is underway to sign a new package of development projects with a value exceeding 991 million Saudi riyals, bringing the total value of ongoing and new projects to over 1.7 billion Saudi riyals.

It is worth mentioning that the visit of the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing to Tabuk province is part of a series of inspection visits he conducts in various cities, governorates, and provinces of the Kingdom to review the projects, initiatives, and programs of MOMRAH in the municipal and housing sectors and to assess the progress of development projects.
