Burial Service Foundation launches “Your Charity is an Honor” campaign during Dhul Hijjah

The non-government Burial Service Foundation has launched its campaign during the Hijri month of Dhul Hijjah under the theme “Your Charity is an Honor.” The campaign aims to raise awareness to the Foundation’s roles and its contribution to burial services, through the “Jood” platform, the Ikraam Endowment Fund, and the Endowment for the Departed.

Through the Jood platform, which was launched by His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, the Foundation aims to improve, automate and raise the level of burial services. It includes several services provided by the charities that bury the dead, to contribute to ensuring, preparing and transporting the deceased, in support of charity, and to enhance community participation. The service facilitates donor access to different donation opportunities, and provides services to beneficiaries, according to unified, quick and easy procedures to facilitate the affairs of the families of the deceased.

The Foundation develops the assets of the “Ikraam Endowment Fund,” which was launched through its Waqf platform, then invests them through channels that achieve social solidarity, and benefits the endowment beneficiaries and the endowed assets. Such process contributes to the development and sustainability of the burial of the dead sector, in addition to providing the necessary services for preparing and transporting the dead and facilitating such means to their families.

Through the “Endowment for the Departed” project, the Foundation also aims to develop the services provided, by transporting the deceased by modern and equipped means between and within cities and providing a washing service in villages and suburbs that do not have baths or centers for the burial of the dead.

The Foundation is concerned with enhancing the role of the non-profit sector by supporting and empowering 26 concerned associations, activating voluntary charitable work, and raising the efficiency and quality of services provided to serve citizens with best practices.

The Foundation aims to regulate charitable work in the field of burial according to an institutional framework, and to improve and raise the level of service for burial, in addition to enabling social responsibility in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, to contribute to accelerating societal needs.
