His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Budair, met with His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Housing and Vice President of the Urban Communities Authority for City Development in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Engineer Abdel-Muttalib Mamdouh Amara, and his accompanying delegation. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of housing and urban planning in the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, Al-Budair appreciated the Egyptian interest in learning about the Kingdom’s experience in the housing and urban development sectors, explaining that the housing sector in the Kingdom has received great attention and continuous support from the wise leadership as one of the most vital sectors related to social and economic development, hoping that the visit will fulfill the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries.
His Excellency pointed out that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has given special attention to the housing sector, and has provided all the means and enablers that contribute to achieving a number of objectives, most notably raising the rate of homeownership for Saudi families, improving the sector’s environment, creating more supportive regulations and legislation, strengthening the real estate financing system, and activating partnership with the private sector in a way that supports the supply and provides more integrated housing projects that meet the desires of citizens. This has achieved many results and accomplishments in a few years, the impact of which has been reflected on the nation and the citizen, and on the development and improvement of the sector, making it more balanced, attractive and sustainable.
Al-Budair noted the experience of the Arab Republic of Egypt in housing and urban development, and the leaps and successes it has achieved at the level of housing projects, regulatory programs, city planning and others, stressing that such fraternal meetings contribute to the exchange of experiences and expertise, in order to achieve the directives and meet the aspirations and ambitions of the two peoples.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Housing and Vice President of the Urban Communities Authority for City Development in the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed his pride in the deep and close fraternal relations that bind the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the continuous development they are witnessing in all fields, in light of the shared keenness to consolidate them and strengthen their foundations, expressing his admiration for the progress that the Kingdom is witnessing in the field of housing and urban planning, as well as the level of progress in the systems and legislation witnessed by the real estate sector in the Kingdom and the results of the partnership with the private sector, wishing progress and prosperity to the governments of the two countries and the two peoples.
