Commercial sector lease contracts have recorded an increase in the number of contracts documented on the electronic rental services network, exceeding 600,000 contracts by the end of May 2022.

“Ejar” explained in a press statement today that it documented more than 60,000 commercial lease contracts during the months of April and May, at a rate of more than 30,000 commercial lease contracts per month, indicating that these numbers came as a result of the services and privileges provided by the program to the beneficiaries of the network, and the commercial contract’s ability to meet the sector’s requirements, as commercial contracts represent more than 17% of the total documented lease contracts of both residential and commercial types.

The electronic network for rental services offers many advantages for rental services in the commercial sector, foremost among them being digital integration with entities in the public and private sectors, such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Investment, and linking with the Baladi platform. Coordination is currently underway to link with a number of other relevant entities, and to work on providing a range of electronic solutions that contribute to the development of the sector and enhance confidence in it.

The commercial lease contract is characterized by its flexibility in several ways, as the contracting parties can use the standardized commercial contract form, or the non-standardized commercial contract, and document it on the network, in addition to its flexibility in distributing and exchanging obligations between the two parties to the contract, using the conditional contract feature, granting greater powers to the tenant, registering commercial lease contracts retroactively, calculating added value, registering service fees for water, electricity, gas, and others, the flexibility of payments, the diversity of payment mechanisms, and the diversity of properties included in the commercial contract (commercial centers, shops, kiosks, warehouses, etc.).

The Ejar program confirmed that interacting with the commercial lease contract fulfills the aspirations of the sector’s clients and their desire to benefit from the advantages provided by the commercial contract, including monthly payments, payment scheduling and flexibility, the possibility of registering it as a conditional contract, modifying the commercial activity after concluding the contract, subletting, payment deferral service, and other powers and advantages provided by the electronic lease contract.
