During the Future of Real Estate Forum in Riyadh, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing for Real Estate Development, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Tawil, revealed that the number of documented commercial lease contracts on the electronic rental services network "Ejar" has exceeded 500,000 contracts, in various cities and regions of the Kingdom.

Al-Taweel explained that these numbers came as a result of the institutions and companies’ interest in documenting commercial lease contracts, and the confidence of the parties involved in the rental process in the network, due to the convenient electronic services it provides and the secure and documented contractual environment, as the network had previously announced the registration of more than 3 million lease contracts in the network, which varied between residential and commercial, since the launch of the program.

Al-Taweel explained that the network works to register commercial lease contracts, with the aim of preserving the rights of the parties and improving the real estate rental sector in the Kingdom, which contributes to increasing confidence in financial and contractual transactions, and facilitating contractual processes according to advanced electronic procedures.

Al-Taweel also emphasized that “Ejar” continues to improve the experience of the parties involved in the rental process by facilitating the registration mechanism and documenting contracts with clear and easy steps, and providing multiple channels for the payment mechanism, in addition to the various other services provided by the program.

It is worth mentioning that the “Ejar” program aims to enhance the reliability of the real estate rental sector, preserve the rights of all related parties, including landlords, tenants, and real estate brokers, formulate rental contracts that meet the needs of beneficiaries, improve the sector’s performance and increase its contribution to the gross domestic product, and reduce disputes through contract documentation.
