The Future Real Estate Forum, currently being held in Riyadh, with the participation of more than 100 speakers, discussed in its dialogue sessions for the second day the "Innovative Environment for Real Estate Solutions," in which a number of specialists in the business solutions and innovation sectors participated, with the aim of reviewing the trends of projects and beneficiaries in the real estate sector in the Kingdom and the increasing investment opportunities in the sector, whether at the level of housing options or the various services that accompany them.

During the session, Dr. Alian Al-Harbi, Innovation and Business Development Advisor at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, explained that the beneficiary and the end consumer are currently the ones who drive investment opportunities and trends in the real estate sector according to their aspirations and desires, noting that innovation processes in the real estate sector usually take a long time, and demanding that innovation in the sector be directed to the core of real estate options and not just in the field of enablers, services and technologies surrounding them.

He pointed out that innovation in real estate products and services is a shared responsibility among all stakeholders interested in and working in the sector, stressing at the same time that the real estate sector is currently experiencing an empowerment phase that will contribute to the growth of its operations and opportunities, in addition to the importance of all experiences and services in the sector being in harmony to reach effective innovative services in the sector.

Regarding the governed real estate data “geo-spatial” and the innovation of solutions in it, the Director General of the National Address “Subul”, Alia Al-Sabti, said that governed real estate data is an important source of innovation in real estate projects and the development of digital solutions that are in harmony with the data, as spatial data provides the most important information for those interested and working in the real estate sector about neighborhoods, cities, their residents, their trends and what they need, noting that the number of registered in the National Address currently exceeds 22 million registered, and all of their data is a treasure for urban planning and digital transformation processes, especially in the real estate development sector, stressing that investment in the database sector that serves the real estate sector is an attractive market due to its connection to several possible services.

For his part, the Director of Geomatics Data at the General Authority for Real Estate, Engineer Faisal Al-Suhaimi, confirmed that the Authority was a pioneer in developing geomatics solutions to serve the real estate sector and provide data and information. The Authority provided those interested and working in the sector with a descriptive and spatial real estate information database in cooperation with several entities. The Authority also provided the Geomatics Real Estate Portal, which provides detailed searches for all about neighborhoods, locations, their services, residents, opportunities available in them, and facilities.

He noted that the Authority launched the Real Estate Technologies Lab initiative in cooperation with real estate platforms licensed by the Authority to benefit from all data and innovation in it in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in the sector.

The General Manager of Check Out Reem Al-Harbi pointed out that the real estate sector in the Kingdom is one of the most advanced and developed sectors, and this indicates that it is a sector that accommodates all innovative solutions and ideas that would improve its services and products, pointing to the experience of the “Ejar” program in providing all solutions to beneficiaries, especially providing, facilitating and governing digital payments to preserve the rights of rental parties.

It is worth mentioning that the Future Real Estate Forum, held over the past two days in Riyadh and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, discussed a number of topics related to the development of real estate in the Kingdom through a number of regulations, legislation, solutions and enablers that serve the real estate sector, with the participation of 100 specialists and experts in the field of real estate and its services.
