"Jood Housing" launches the "Your Generosity in Ashura" campaign
The “Jood Housing” platform launched the “Your Generosity in Ashura” campaign, coinciding with the day of Ashura, with the aim of reminding people of goodness and giving of the opportunity to donate to contribute to providing housing and paying rents for families seeking housing security from the most needy category.
The campaign coincides with “Ashura Day”, recalling the story of the relief that God granted to His Prophet Moses - peace be upon him - making it a memory of gratitude for the change of circumstances and relief, calling on generous people to seize this day by donating in the hope of changing the situation of families in dire need of housing and improving their affairs. “Jood Housing” aims to attract charitable contributions from the community and deliver them to those who deserve them in the easiest and fastest ways, according to a transparent and well-governed mechanism that ensures that charitable support reaches those who deserve it, which contributes to strengthening the spirit of compassion among all members of society.
The “Your Generosity in Ashura” campaign is part of a series of efforts by “Jood Housing” to meet the needs of the most needy Saudi families seeking housing security. Thousands of families in all cities and governorates of the Kingdom benefit from it, in partnership with a number of charitable associations and institutions concerned with the affairs of families in dire need.
Since its launch, the platform has received generous support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with an amount of 100 million riyals, and support from his Crown Prince with an amount of 50 million riyals, confirming the leadership’s interest in activating the social role in accelerating the development process by presenting a new model of social solidarity in which the roles of governmental and charitable bodies are integrated and meet on the “Jood Housing” platform.
It is worth mentioning that the Jood Housing platform is one of the initiatives of the National Development Housing Foundation, which aims to involve the community - individuals and organizations - to increase the growth of charitable housing giving, through an electronic platform that achieves transparency, accuracy and professionalism in providing contributions.
