The in-kind support option provided by the Sakani program to its beneficiaries from Saudi families recorded remarkable growth during the past month of February, exceeding 48%, bringing the total number of beneficiary families during the past two months to more than 1,200 Saudi families with direct support for the price of housing units under construction.

“In-kind support” is one of the many housing options and diverse financing solutions provided by “Sakani” in most cities and regions of the Kingdom, with the aim of increasing the rate of homeownership for Saudi families to 70% by 2030, in accordance with the objectives of the Housing Program – one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The program explained that the option of in-kind support for units comes as one of the multiple forms of support provided by “Sakani”, which has witnessed a demand from Saudi families during the past period, and “Sakani” continues to provide in-kind support within 115 housing projects that provide more than 149,000 units of various designs and spaces in most of the cities and regions of the Kingdom, including apartments, villas and townhouses.

In-kind support for housing units under construction is considered one of the direct solutions of “Sakani” to facilitate first home ownership, which reduces their prices to range between 350,000 and 800,000 riyals. Housing projects under construction in the Kingdom witnessed a great demand from Saudi families benefiting from “Sakani” after the application of in-kind support, exceeding 22,000 families during the past year 2021.

The “Sakani” program enables Saudi families to own one of the housing units under construction that it makes available through its electronic application in partnership with the private sector within the residential suburbs developed by the National Housing Corporation ( NHC ) and supervised by the off-plan sales or leasing program “Wafi” at affordable prices, with the aim of facilitating homeownership for Saudi families within immediate eligibility and more diverse housing solutions and options than before.

It is worth mentioning that the “Sakani” program announced that more than 225,000 Saudi families benefited during the past year 2021, including more than 186,000 families who moved into their homes. 19,353 families benefited from the program during the month of January, including 18,890 families who moved into their homes. “Sakani” aims to benefit 180,000 families during 2022 from the various financing and housing options and solutions, including 130,000 families who move into their homes.
