Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing inspects the progress of work in Al Dar suburb in Al-Medinah

The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, today inspected the progress of work in Al Dar suburb in Al-Medinah. The suburb is being developed by the National Housing Company (NHC) in partnership with the private sector to provide housing for beneficiaries of Sakani program. The project includes 6,831 housing units spread over an area exceeding 1.5 million square meters. It is designed as a comprehensive urban residential environment with high-quality services and facilities, adhering to the highest standards of quality and sustainability. The inspection was attended by the Mayor of Al-Madinah, Engineer Fahad bin Mohammed Albulihshi.

Al-Hogail emphasized the importance of completing the project on time for delivery to the beneficiaries. He noted that MOMRAH is committed to providing various housing options and diverse solutions that cater to all segments of society through easy and facilitated procedures. This is in line with the MOMRAH’s efforts to facilitate homeownership for Saudi families and increase its rate, according to the targets of the Housing Program, one of Vision 2030’s program.

Al Dar suburb is strategically located 7 kilometers away from the Prophet's Mosque and 2 kilometers from Quba Mosque, as well as several public facilities. It features modern designs inspired by the architectural heritage of Al-Madinah, taking into account aesthetic harmony.

The suburb comprises six residential projects: Al-Jawar, Durrat Al-Madinah 1, Durrat Al-Madinah 2, Dar Taybah, Maknan, and Nuzul Al-Dar Project. It features pedestrian walkways, sidewalks, external lighting, green spaces and children's playgrounds, and will include restaurants, cafes, and commercial buildings within a fully integrated modern environment.

Al-Madinah Province has over 20 off-plan housing projects (under-construction units) in partnership between "Sakani" and the private sector, with a total of over 11,000 housing units. These projects provide diverse housing options and solutions that cater to all segments of society through easy and facilitated procedures, considering the diversity of preferences, capabilities, and commitment to maintaining quality and affordability. The Province also has 21 land plots that will provide more than 20,000 housing units.
