Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing Witnesses the Signing of Cooperation Agreement to Enhance Regional Inspection and Oversight in the Kingdom Regions

Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Inspection and Oversight (NCIO), Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the NCIO and TUV Rheinland today, aimed at improving inspection and oversight activities in accordance with best practices.

The agreement, signed by the CEO of NCIO, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Alabdulkarim, and the CEO of TUV Rheinland, Frank Dorssers, aims to enhance the effectiveness of inspection and oversight activities by applying the best methods related to the concept of Smart Oversight. The goal is to raise the quality of operations and the level of compliance with laws and regulations.

Under this agreement, both parties will cooperate in implementing the unified auditor’s guiding model in several regions of the Kingdom, study the areas of activities targeted for the unified oversight business model, and review, integrate and modify the inspection lists.

They will also collaborate on training task teams on updated lists and preparing criteria for the success of indicative visits, measuring impacts according to the best standards. Additionally, the agreement includes utilizing modern technologies in oversight and inspection fields, analyzing and reviewing results of the unified auditor’s guiding model, submitting recommendations with aim of enhancing the inspection and monitoring work model, which raises compliance rates and improve the Kingdom's business environment.
