Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: Regional municipalities have completed preparations for hundreds of celebratory sites in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that the municipalities in various regions of the Kingdom have completed their preparations to welcome Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH, by preparing hundreds of festive sites in parks, gardens, public squares and walkways, with the aim of providing an integrated festive environment for residents and visitors during the Eid days.
The ministry explained that the field preparations included preparing municipal parks and gardens to receive visitors, activating a number of public squares to hold events and accompanying activities, in addition to installing holiday decorations and lights in the main roads, squares and public gardens, which contributes to creating a festive atmosphere in the cities and governorates.
She explained that the accompanying programs include a range of diverse entertainment and cultural events that will take place over the days of Eid, including artistic and folkloric performances, children’s theater and interactive shows, as well as parades of cartoon characters and recreational activities for children, in addition to distributing gifts to visitors at the celebration sites.
The ministry added that the distribution of the celebratory sites in various cities and governorates aims to enable families and visitors to easily access the events, and to provide diverse entertainment options that meet the interests of different age groups, noting that the implementation of the events is carried out with the participation of municipal staff and volunteers, and in cooperation with government agencies, civil associations and private sector institutions, within the framework of strengthening community partnerships and enriching the visitor experience during the events.
The ministry confirmed that these preparations are part of the municipal sector’s efforts to enhance the quality of life in Saudi cities and prepare public facilities to receive residents and visitors during events.
