Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: 725,000 volunteer hours and 625 opportunities to serve pilgrims during Hajj 1447 AH

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing revealed that 725,775 volunteer hours were recorded within the municipal volunteer system during the Hajj season of 1447 AH, in an indicator that reflects the expansion of community participation and support for the field and service efforts provided to the guests of God in Makkah and the holy sites.
The ministry explained that the total number of volunteer opportunities offered during the season reached 625, while the number of participating male and female volunteers reached 17,220, in addition to recording a 100% satisfaction rate with the services and programs provided within the municipal volunteering system.
She indicated that the number of visitors to the municipal volunteer camp exceeded 10,847 visitors, as part of efforts aimed at promoting a culture of volunteer work, empowering volunteers, and raising the readiness of the teams participating in serving the guests of God during the season.
This comes as an extension of the field efforts implemented by the Ministry through the municipal volunteering system, where volunteers participate in guidance, crowd management, site service and field support, in addition to distributing gifts and necessary supplies to pilgrims, which contributes to improving their experience during their movement between the holy sites.
The ministry affirmed its continued efforts to enhance the efficiency of the municipal volunteering system and raise the level of integration with relevant entities, in line with the goals of quality of life and the promotion of volunteer work, in order to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership - may God support them - in providing the best services to the guests of God.
