The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing stressed the importance of food establishments adhering to all approved health requirements and regulations, affirming its continued efforts to strengthen the municipal control system to ensure food safety, protect public health, and raise the level of compliance in various food establishments across the Kingdom.

The ministry confirmed that field monitoring of food establishments is carried out continuously through the secretariats and municipalities, to verify the application of health requirements and the safety of handling, storing and preparing food, to monitor violations, and to take regulatory measures against non-compliant establishments, in a way that contributes to enhancing food safety and reducing practices that may affect the health of consumers.

She explained that the municipal control system is based on developing health requirements, raising the efficiency of field control, and enhancing the commitment of workers in food activities to health requirements, through organizing procedures for issuing health certificates, and updating regulatory guidelines, in order to ensure raising the quality of services provided to consumers.

The ministry called on owners of food establishments to comply with health requirements, ensure that workers meet regulatory requirements, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety, stressing that compliance contributes to providing a safe food environment and preserves the health of members of society.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing affirmed its commitment to continuing to develop the food establishment monitoring system and enhancing integration with relevant authorities, in order to achieve the highest levels of compliance and support its efforts in protecting public health and improving the quality of municipal services in various regions of the Kingdom.
