"البلدية والإسكان" تشدد على منشآت تقديم التبغ الالتزام بإصدار "التراخيص" و"سداد الرسوم"

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing stressed the need for owners of establishments providing tobacco products to pay the fees related to sales and invoicing on a monthly basis through the "Baladi" platform, and for the secretariats and municipalities to review and audit the revenues, fees and data recorded continuously and periodically.

The ministry clarified that all shops offering tobacco products must display their business license, disclose all revenues, and clearly state the tobacco sales tax percentage in a separate item on every invoice issued. It also noted the necessity of clearly displaying the tax collection certificate to all customers and adhering to regulations and instructions. The ministry emphasized the continuation of inspection tours and the visits of supervisory teams from the municipalities and secretariats to establishments to verify their compliance and commitment to paying fees, and to reduce financial transactions that violate the instructions and controls that fall within the ministry's jurisdiction. It urged owners of establishments offering tobacco products to adhere to the necessary procedures and requirements so as not to be subject to violations and municipal penalties.

The “Baladi” platform allows owners of popular restaurants and cafes permitted to offer tobacco products – inside and outside cities – to disclose the total value of monthly sales and pay the fees due on time through the fee application system, issue the registration certificate, monthly disclosure, permit to offer tobacco products at authorized events, and benefit from all services electronically. The Ministry also made available the list of requirements for offering tobacco products inside and outside cities through its website https://momrah.gov.sa/ar/node/13075 .
