MOMRAH signs a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Accreditation Center in the field of supervision and consultation

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing signed a memorandum of cooperation today, Monday, with the Saudi Accreditation Center, with the aim of cooperating and exchanging experiences in the field of supervision and consultations, under the patronage of the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Eng. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing was represented in the signing ceremony by the Deputy Minister for Licensing and Project Coordination, Eng. Mohamed bin Ibrahim Al Mulhim, while the CEO of the Saudi Accreditation Center, Dr. Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Qaeed, signed on behalf of the Center, in the presence of a number of leaders and officials from both sides.

The memorandum of cooperation includes sharing technical expertise, participating in advisory and technical committees, accrediting MOMRAH’s laboratories and municipalities in all fields, and accrediting the inspection services provided by the Ministry from the Saudi Accreditation Center, in addition to utilizing the accredited laboratories, inspection bodies, and certification bodies of the Center. The two parties will also cooperate in the field of training and technical qualification of personnel.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing has signed a number of agreements and partnerships with various government and private sector entities in recent months, with the aim of enhancing integration with relevant agencies to develop and improve the quality of services provided in the municipal and housing sectors, contributing to the achievement of the sector's objectives in line with Vision 2030.
