The Real Estate Unit Sorting Program recorded an increase in the number of sorted real estate units during the third quarter of 2022, exceeding 88% compared to the same period in 2021, as the program sorted about 19,000 real estate units.
This was explained by the director of the Real Estate Unit Sorting Program, Engineer Muhannad Al-Aboud, who pointed out that the number of sorted units since the program’s inception has exceeded 207,000 real estate units. Jeddah Governorate had the highest number of sorted units among the cities of the Kingdom, with the program sorting more than 53,000 real estate units there, while more than 46,000 units were sorted in Riyadh, approximately 28,000 real estate units were sorted in the Eastern Province, about 21,000 real estate units in Makkah, and 18,000 real estate units were sorted in Asir since the beginning of the program.
Al-Aboud emphasized that diversifying housing options for those wishing to own property has contributed to increasing the interest of real estate developers in building properties and real estate complexes and dividing them into real estate units; to increase the supply of real estate and make it available to beneficiaries. The program is continuously working to develop and improve the customer journey and automate processes electronically with several relevant government agencies, such as the Ministry of Justice to issue deeds after the completion of the sorting processes, and the Baladi platform to verify the data of building permits in order to complete the sorting processes, in addition to providing a list of engineering offices approved by the program; to facilitate for the real estate developer to implement sorting requests through the unit sorting platform, and the platform can be visited through the link https://subdivision.rega.gov.sa/en .
The program had previously launched the "Distinguished Service," which contributed to reducing the time period for engineering offices to submit sorting requests, and speeding up data entry procedures by them to 70%, through an engine that analyzes the property plan according to the surveying measurements automatically instead of entering them manually.
It is noted that the Real Estate Unit Ownership, Sorting and Management System and its Executive Regulations aim to enhance the role of the Real Estate Unit Sorting Program in sorting real estate complexes in both their residential and commercial aspects, while ensuring the preservation of unit rights in common areas, and identifying those areas, systems and service facilities within and between properties within the real estate complex, in the framework of enhancing the sustainability of the real estate market and raising its efficiency in accordance with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
