"Rental Index": Average rents for apartments in Riyadh decreased in July

The rental index on the Sakani platform recorded a decrease in the average rental values of residential apartments ranging from 1% to 52% in 32 neighborhoods in Riyadh out of 43 neighborhoods that recorded 200 or more residential rental transactions, including more than 18,000 rental transactions on residential apartments in July compared to June.

While the remaining 11 neighborhoods recorded stability in the average rental values of residential apartments to an increase of up to 15%, including more than 4,800 transactions during July, the three neighborhoods with the highest number of residential apartment transactions were Dhahrat Laban neighborhood, which recorded an increase in average rental values by 4%, while the second highest number of apartment transactions was recorded by Tuwaiq neighborhood, which recorded a decrease in average rental values by 12%, and Al-Aziziyah neighborhood recorded a decrease of 14%, which came third in the number of residential apartment transactions.

It is worth noting that the rental index aims to achieve transparency and stimulate investment in the Kingdom's rental real estate sector by setting specific rental indices for cities, neighborhoods, and different types of real estate, both residential and commercial.
