The “Sakani” program announced that 46,904 families benefited from its housing options and services during the first quarter of this year 2022, while the number of families who moved into their homes by taking advantage of the housing and financing solutions provided by the program exceeded 55,000 families during the last quarter, as part of the program’s efforts to raise the rate of homeownership for Saudi families to 70% by the year 2030 in order to achieve the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 -.
The program explained in a press statement today that the choices of Saudi families varied between the subsidized mortgage loan to purchase ready-made housing units, which benefited more than 18,000 families from among the various options provided by “Sakani” to beneficiaries, while the rest of the families preferred the option of self-construction, residential lands within “Sakani” schemes, and the subsidized mortgage loan to purchase housing units under construction.
The “Sakani” website and application offers a variety of housing services, including real estate advisor, issuance of real estate transaction tax certificates for the first home, obtaining price quotes from financing entities, issuing land contracts electronically, benefiting from engineering design services and the “approved contractor”, electronic financing services and the “real estate market”, as well as registration and immediate eligibility, and issuing building permits electronically.
The “Sakani” website and application provides 115 projects under construction in partnership with real estate developers, including about 150,000 diverse housing units, including villas, apartments and townhouses, with average prices of 750,000 riyals. Most of them are distributed in 7 major residential suburbs in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah and Khamis Mushait, to provide a modern lifestyle in which the quality of housing units and the availability of facilities and services are integrated to enhance the quality of life of its residents.
