"Sakani": More than 12,000 electronic contracts issued for free land until May 2022

The Sakani program issued 12,401 electronic contracts for free residential land to Saudi families benefiting from the program from the beginning of 2022 until the end of last May, through its electronic application, in preparation for the beneficiaries to start construction work, within the housing options and diverse financing solutions provided by the program to facilitate first home ownership, with the aim of raising the percentage of Saudi families owning homes to 70% by 2030 in line with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 -.

“Sakani” explained in a press statement today that the land contracts included 3271 plots in the Makkah region, 2438 plots in the Riyadh region, 1785 plots in the Eastern region, 1005 plots in the Qassim region, 899 plots in the Najran region, 803 plots in the Jazan region, 796 plots in the Asir region, 506 plots in the Hail region, 415 plots in the Madinah region, 129 plots in the Northern Borders region, 174 plots in the Al-Baha region, 100 plots in the Al-Jawf region, in addition to 80 plots in the Tabuk region.

The program indicated that this number comes as an extension of what was previously issued in electronic contracts for lands within the plans made available by the “Sakani” website and application for families benefiting from housing support in all cities and regions of the Kingdom, through easy electronic procedures, explaining that the procedures for booking and inspecting land sites and plans can be completed through the program’s website https://sakani.sa .

“Sakani” confirmed the continuation of delivering residential lands to beneficiary citizens in all schemes listed on the electronic portal, and working to deliver services to them in cooperation with relevant authorities, and the housing sector’s continued achievement of its goals by supporting Saudi families and enabling them to own or benefit from their first home.

It is worth mentioning that the Sakani program offers a number of housing options and diverse financing solutions to meet the desires and aspirations of families, including benefiting from the subsidized mortgage loan to purchase ready-made housing units, purchasing housing units under construction within Sakani projects in partnership with the private sector, in addition to benefiting from the subsidized mortgage loan for self-build for those who own residential land.
