A tripartite partnership agreement was signed between "Developmental Housing", "Al Hilal Charity" and "Sakan" to provide families with suitable housing.

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Developmental Housing Program signed a tripartite agreement for a period of 5 years with the Al-Hilal Charitable Club Foundation and the National Developmental Housing Foundation “Sakan”, with the aim of providing housing units for the most needy families among the beneficiaries of “Developmental Housing”.

Representing the Developmental Housing Program in signing the agreement, which was concluded in Riyadh today, were the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing for the Third Sector and Community Participation, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Qaraawi, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Fahd bin Saad bin Nafal, representing the Al-Hilal Charitable Club Foundation, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Housing Foundation for Empowerment and Development, Muhammad Al-Ajimi, representing “Sakan”.

Under the agreement, the Developmental Housing Program will provide the necessary data on beneficiaries, their needs, and their distribution across cities and governorates. The “Sakan” Foundation will study and verify their data in accordance with the support regulations approved by the “Jood Housing” platform. Meanwhile, the Al-Hilal Charitable Foundation will sponsor the media aspects of “Jood Housing” through coverage and reports, encouraging community participation on the social media platforms of the Saudi Al-Hilal Club, and adding advertisements for the Jood Housing platform to the club’s advertising billboards during matches held on its home ground.

This agreement comes to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by creating the necessary environment for the non-profit sector to take the initiative to meet challenges and seize opportunities, as the Ministry works with the non-profit sector to provide appropriate housing support for the most needy families of social security beneficiaries and those in similar circumstances, in addition to enabling the non-profit sector to be more effective in the housing sector to raise its contribution to the gross domestic product and seek to support developmental housing projects in all regions and governorates.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Qaraawi, emphasized the agreement’s active role in promoting the participation of the third sector and stimulating development programs in the housing sector, to provide housing for the most needy families, and to enhance the quality of life for families and develop their members economically and socially.

The agreement included creating a participatory mechanism between the three parties to facilitate the ownership of housing units by the most needy families within diverse options and solutions, and to enhance the participation of community members in supporting the provision of the first home for families within the “Jood Housing” platform with the aim of achieving social security for them, in order to achieve the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 - by raising the rate of homeownership for Saudi families to 70% in 2030.
