The off-plan sales and leasing program “Wafi” is participating in the “Maskan Real Estate” exhibition in Riyadh, held from May 26 to 29 at the Riyadh Expo Front, which includes a number of real estate development companies that showcase their projects to visitors and participants, in addition to the presence of real estate financing companies, banks and a number of governmental service agencies.
This was explained by the Secretary-General of the Off-Plan Sales and Leasing Committee, Naif bin Nawaf Al-Sharif, who stated that through participation in the Maskan Real Estate Exhibition, the mechanism of work carried out by the Off-Plan Sales Committee “Wafi” will be introduced to preserve the rights of beneficiaries and ensure the quality of products, the mechanism of licensing for such projects and its advantages in providing suitable housing for Saudi families, and its inclusion of guarantees and procedures that enable this, such as the existence of an escrow account allocated for each project, in addition to continuous engineering supervision of the projects, which confirms the quality of work, progress of completion and completion of its services according to the implementation schedule according to the approved specifications and conditions. The procedures and legal tools will also be explained in the event of the project deviating from the approved time plan for delivering the unit and claiming the penalty clause.
Al-Sharif added that through the "Wafi" pavilion at the exhibition, the updated third track - which will be launched in the coming days - will be introduced. This track aims to approve private residential land subdivision plans within 60 days, which will give developers the advantage of early sorting before the completion of infrastructure work. This will contribute to accelerating the pace of work and enhancing the supply of residential land, while ensuring the quality of infrastructure implementation through monitoring and supervision by the off-plan sales or leasing committee.
