An Omani delegation learns about the Saudi experience in the housing sector.

The General Supervisor of the General Administration for Institutional Partnerships and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulrahman bin Saeed, received today at the Ministry’s headquarters the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Housing in the Sultanate of Oman, Engineer Hamad bin Ali Al-Nizwani, and his accompanying delegation.

Bin Saeed welcomed the visit of the Omani delegation, during which the meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it in the field of housing and urban planning between the two ministries in the Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, a visual presentation was given about the ministry’s projects, achievements and contributions in the housing sector, presented by the Director of the Media Department and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Saif bin Salem Al-Suwailem.

Following that, Engineer Bin Saeed took the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Housing in the Sultanate of Oman and his accompanying delegation on a tour to visit the comprehensive Sakani Center, where they were briefed on the Ministry’s experience in providing all services related to home ownership in an integrated manner with relevant authorities in one place, and the various services it provides and the housing options and solutions it offers to enable Saudi families to own homes.

The Omani delegation also visited the Marsa project north of Riyadh and learned about the experience of major suburban residential projects, which provide advanced, vibrant housing communities where all services and needs are integrated to obtain suitable housing.

It is worth mentioning that the visit of the delegation from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom will last for two days, as it includes a visit to the Sakan Charitable Foundation to learn about the Ministry’s experience in empowering the non-profit housing sector, to find sustainable developmental housing solutions and create an effective experience in the sector. The Omani delegation will also visit the General Authority for Real Estate to learn about the most prominent efforts of the Authority in regulating the real estate sector.
