Launching five optional financial support packages for Sakani beneficiaries, bringing the total to nine options.
His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, launched 5 optional support packages as part of more solutions and options for the beneficiaries of “Sakani”, with the aim of facilitating home ownership for citizens in accordance with their needs and financial capabilities, bringing the support options for “Sakani” beneficiaries to 9 options.
The launch of the packages was attended by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Budair, and a number of partners in success from financing entities, real estate developers, media professionals and ministry leaders.
“Sakani” revealed more solutions and options for families to own suitable housing during the “Sakani Forum”, which was held at the interactive center of the Murcia project north of Riyadh, to celebrate the achievements of the Sakani program during the past period, and to reveal its targets for the next period in line with the ministry’s plans regarding the housing sector.
The program confirmed that the various support packages come as an extension of the financing solutions and housing services provided by the program, starting from immediate eligibility, booking and viewing residential units and lands, price offers from financing entities, real estate consultant, engineering designs, and other services.
“Sakani” explained that these options provided 5 packages that included (the support package, the rental package, the furniture package, the self-build package, and the home renovation package), noting that it is possible to obtain the various housing support packages easily and conveniently through the “Sakani” website and electronic application within a list of diverse options, with the aim of achieving the objectives of the housing program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 - by raising the ownership rate to 70%.
The program indicated that the packages provide the beneficiary with flexible and multiple solutions, by providing immediate non-refundable support to beneficiaries of ready-made housing units, under construction, and self-build, in partnership with the Real Estate Development Fund and financing entities from banks, financing institutions, and real estate developers, noting that this comes from “Sakani’s” belief in the continuity of housing support and the importance of diversifying financing and housing options to accelerate the pace of Saudi families owning their homes.
For his part, the CEO of the Real Estate Development Fund, Mansour bin Madhi, said in his speech during the forum that the additional housing support options were designed as a result of an analytical study that surveyed the opinions of families and their future aspirations to own housing, in a way that meets their actual needs and financial capabilities, noting that the housing support packages give the beneficiary an amount of 100,000 riyals immediately upon signing the financing contract.
He explained that the package amount provided to the beneficiary is non-refundable, and is one of the solutions provided to facilitate the beneficiary’s homeownership in terms of providing an amount for the first payment for the ready-made housing unit product or furnishing, or renewing the home in the event of purchasing a housing unit that is more than 15 years old. The rental package also meets the desires of beneficiaries of the off-plan sales product, by providing the rental amount until the completion of receiving the housing unit, explaining that the idea of diversity is to find more solutions and options that reflect the requirements of families and based on the actual need to own a suitable home.
