"Etmam" completes the approval of residential plans with a total area exceeding 39 million m2 since the beginning of 2022

The Real Estate Developers Services Center “Etmam” recorded a remarkable increase in the areas of approved residential plans in a number of regions of the Kingdom by the end of the third quarter of 2022, as the total areas of approved residential plans exceeded 39 million square meters from the beginning of the year until the end of the third quarter, as an extension of the continuous efforts provided by the Beneficiary Services Center “Etmam” to facilitate real estate development work.
This comes as a result of the maturing partnership with providers and owners of services related to real estate development through an integrated platform that provides all the needs of real estate developers, in order to achieve the goals of the Etmam Center in improving the performance of the sector and raising its contribution to the gross domestic product, enhancing the real estate supply, and enabling citizens to obtain suitable housing, to raise ownership rates to 70% in accordance with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 -.
“Etmam” explained in a press statement today that 24 plans with a total area of 39,231,231 m2 have been approved since the beginning of the year until the end of the third quarter of 2022 in a number of regions, continuing “Etmam’s” efforts to prepare and facilitate the procedures for approving plans with the completion of activating the partnership with the relevant real estate development entities, which the center is continuously working to develop.
The center indicated that licenses were issued for the construction of approximately 14,746 housing units during the same period, bringing the total number of licenses to more than 71,000 housing units. It also qualified 2,768 real estate developers, bringing the total number of qualified real estate developers to 6,619. It also completed the requests to support the registration of 6,592 workers in housing projects implemented by real estate developers in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing. The center also processed 22 requests through its system to inquire about the validity of deeds, in addition to providing support to 51 developers and completing the procedures for issuing licenses for 50 off-plan sales projects.
The center seeks to support and activate its strategic roles in overcoming the obstacles facing real estate developers and owners of housing projects, to contribute to providing suitable housing options for citizens and beneficiaries to meet the needs of different Saudi families, noting the integrated role between different government agencies and the private sector to make the initiative a success and facilitate procedures and services within the center’s work.
It is worth noting that the "Itmam" program, through a unified platform and digital portal, facilitates easy and reliable access to all the services needed by real estate developers. It also provides access to all data and statistics that support decision-making and encourage real estate developers to invest in the sector, while removing obstacles that developers may face in residential projects that will offer diverse housing options. This is all part of its effective role and fruitful cooperation with various relevant authorities.
