- Al-Hogail Inspects the Progress of Work in Development Projects in Asir, and Launches the Digital Platform for Major Investment Opportunities in the Region
His Excellency, the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inspected today the progress of development projects in Asir Region and reviewed the latest updates on the "Bahjah" project and the "Visual Distortion" file. The inspection was attended by His Excellency, the Secretary of the Region, Engineer Abdullah bin Mahdi Al-Jali, and a number of MOMRAH and municipality officials.
At the beginning of his visit to the Region, His Excellency met with the leaders and officials of the municipality and mayors in Asir to assess the level of progress in various development projects and address challenges. He also reviewed the development plans set by the Region's municipality to enhance urban development and improve municipal services in Asir. Additionally, he reviewed the investment agency's plan for promoting economic activities in the Region and supporting investors.
Furthermore, Al-Hogail met with a number of investors and businessmen in Asir Region, discussing investment opportunities provided by MOMRAH in the municipal and housing sectors as part of the developmental programs and initiatives aimed at achieving the goals of Vision 2030. He emphasized MOMRAH's efforts to encourage investment in the sector and provide all necessary facilities for investors.
Afterwards, the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing inaugurated the digital platform for major investment opportunities in Asir Region, which includes projects worth 3.7 billion Saudi riyals. He also visited the engineering laboratory for soil, asphalt, and concrete testing, and became acquainted with the operational plan and working mechanism of the laboratory. The laboratory conducted tests on more than 8,000 samples during the past year, emphasizing its importance in ensuring the implementation of infrastructure projects according to the highest quality standards.
Additionally, he visited the Urban Samples Exhibition, which showcases tools for park, road, lighting, bridges, tunnels, building facades, road signs, and buildings from more than 45 specialized companies. The exhibition also features the latest technologies used in the Region's projects, making it the first of its kind in Asir.
During his inspection tour, Al-Hogail visited the Al-Andalus Park Development Project, one of the largest parks in Abha. The project aims to create an open and vibrant park with a range of innovative services according to the highest specifications, making it a model for improving the urban landscape and enhancing city livability in line with the objectives of the Quality of Life program - one of the Vision 2030 programs.
It is worth mentioning that the visit of His Excellency to Asir Region is part of a series of inspection visits he conducts in various cities, governorates, and regions of the Kingdom to review projects, initiatives, and programs related to the Ministry in the municipal and housing sectors, and to assess the progress of development projects.
