The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing signed a number of agreements with various public and private entities aimed at enhancing advanced digital solutions and services across its sectors, during LEAP 2025 held in Riyadh. The agreements were witnessed by His Excellency Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing, and His Excellency Abdullah bin Amer Alsawaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

The first agreement was signed between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Deputy Minister for Privatization and Financial Sustainability, Mr. Ihab Hasouba, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Infrastructure, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Mufadda. This agreement aims to support investment in data centers, facilitate the investor journey, provide suitable land for investors, and streamline investment procedures in a way that supports sectoral growth.

The agreement also seeks to support data center developers, provide appropriate land options, activate simplified investment procedures with local and international data center companies and investors, and ease municipal licensing procedures for data centers—ultimately enhancing investment attraction in the data center market and enabling cloud computing and artificial intelligence sectors.

The second agreement was signed with Tawal – Telecommunications Towers Company, represented by the company’s CEO, Eng. Mohammed Al-Haqbani. It aims to leverage municipal real estate for the establishment of telecom towers, streamline contractual processes, and expand telecommunications services across various regions of the Kingdom.

The third agreement was signed with NHC INNOVATION to develop digital solutions and foster innovation, reflecting the Ministry’s belief in the importance of digital transformation and meeting user needs on its electronic platforms. The Ministry was represented by the Assistant Minister for Support Services, Mr. Omar Al-Mohassen, and NHC INNOVATION was represented by its CEO, Eng. Rayan Alaql.
