Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, participated in the Second Gulf Housing Conference, hosted by the State of Kuwait from September 3 to 4 under the theme “Sustainable Housing.” The Saudi delegation was led by Eng. Abdulmohsin Abdullah Aljammaz, Assistant Deputy Minister for Housing Supply Stimulation and Real Estate Development.

In his speech, Aljammaz emphasized that the conference serves as a leading platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing best practices in the field of sustainable housing, in addition to strengthening cooperation among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. He highlighted that the panel discussions and accompanying events help unify efforts, broaden partnerships with the private sector, and build a more efficient and sustainable housing future.

Aljammaz also participated in the senior GCC housing officials’ panel discussion, where he presented the Kingdom’s experience in developing sustainable housing models and its role in increasing citizens’ homeownership rates by 2030. He stressed that these efforts align with the Kingdom’s ongoing economic and social transformations, enhancing quality of life and supporting housing stability.

He concluded his remarks by expressing gratitude to the State of Kuwait, represented by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to the Saudi delegation. He affirmed that participation in such conferences represents an opportunity to deepen Gulf cooperation and unify visions for a more sustainable urban and housing future.

This participation underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting joint Gulf efforts and working towards building modern, sustainable cities that enhance citizens’ well-being and align with the objectives of Vision 2030.
