His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inspected several municipal and housing projects today in the Al-Jouf region, where he reviewed the progress and levels of completion. His Excellency also witnessed the launch of Real Estate Registry (RER) operations in the region, representing a qualitative leap in documenting property ownership and enhancing the investment environment. In addition, he inaugurated new service and development projects and laid the foundation stone for several others, with a total value exceeding SAR 453,923,000. The visit included the delivery of the 2024/2025 Urban Observatory Report, the handover of several housing units to beneficiaries of the Developmental Housing Program, and the honoring of donors to the “Jood Al-Jouf” initiative, as well as the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding supporting the development process.

During the visit, His Excellency met with the leadership of the Al-Jouf Municipality, where they reviewed plans to improve the urban landscape and develop municipal services, discussed the key challenges, and presented practical solutions. He stressed the importance of raising service efficiency and accelerating the pace of execution to meet citizens’ expectations.

Al-Hogail also met with directors of governmental and service agencies in the region to discuss mechanisms for inter-agency integration and ways to enhance the quality of provided services. In addition, he met with members of the Real Estate Sector Committee of the Al-Jouf Chamber of Commerce, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to creating an attractive investment environment and providing facilitative measures for high-quality projects, noting that the real estate sector contributed 13.5% to the GDP.

The field tour in the city of Sakaka included inspections of infrastructure, housing, and public park projects, where His Excellency directed that work be expedited and quality of execution be improved.

His Excellency emphasized that this visit comes in line with the leadership’s directives to conduct on-site visits, listen directly to residents and investors, and ensure projects meet their intended goals. He noted that the Al-Jouf region, with its agricultural, investment, and tourism potential, is well-positioned to become a leading model for balanced development, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
