The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has launched the updated version of the guide to health, technical and safety requirements in shared housing for individuals, as part of its efforts to regulate this type of housing and unify its controls, in order to contribute to providing a safe and healthy residential environment that takes into account the requirements of the residents and supports the quality of life in the Kingdom’s cities.

The guide covers three main areas. The first is health requirements, which focus on ensuring the availability of essential elements for maintaining a healthy environment. These include ventilation, cleanliness, and the provision of basic services that guarantee the public health of residents. The second area comprises technical requirements, which define the site, design, and implementation requirements in accordance with approved regulations and standards. This ensures the optimal use of facilities to meet needs and enhance operational efficiency.
