Today, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing received His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Engineer Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Suwayan, at the Ministry’s headquarters. He was received by His Excellency the Assistant Minister for Support Services, Mr. Omar bin Mohammed Al-Mahasen, and a number of the Ministry’s leaders, in the presence of representatives from the National Housing Company.
During the visit, the ministry reviewed its strategic direction to transform into a smart ministry by adopting the “artificial intelligence first” strategy, which aims to enhance performance efficiency and improve the beneficiaries’ experience, in line with the objectives of digital transformation in the government sector.
The meeting also reviewed the most prominent use cases developed with generative artificial intelligence technologies, and reviewed the Ministry’s achievements in the field of digital transformation and the regional and international awards it has won for its excellence in this field.
For his part, His Excellency the Assistant Minister for Support Services, Mr. Omar bin Mohammed Al-Mahasen, affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to align its technological initiatives with national trends to enhance the efficiency of government services and raise the quality of life in Saudi cities, noting the Ministry’s commitment to implementing the digital transformation standards issued by the Digital Government Authority.
Al-Mahasen added that the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is one of the leading government agencies in the field of digital transformation, as it has developed a number of digital platforms that contribute to facilitating municipal and housing services, providing more than 400 integrated electronic services, as part of its ongoing efforts to fully transform into smart digital services enhanced with artificial intelligence technologies, including the development of predictive models that support decision-making, which contributes to raising performance efficiency and promoting innovation.
