Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail,the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Developers Services Center “Etmam”, signed today a joint cooperation agreement with the National Water Company, as part of the activities of the “Cityscape Global 2025” exhibition, which Riyadh is hosting from November 17 to 20, with broad local and international participation in the real estate development sector.
The agreement aims to enhance integration between the Developers Services Center “Etmam” and the National Water Company, which will contribute to raising the efficiency of providing services to residential and urban projects, accelerating the pace of work in real estate development projects in various regions of the Kingdom, and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in supporting partnerships between government agencies and enabling investment in the real estate sector.
The agreement comes within the framework of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing’s endeavor to provide an integrated work environment that contributes to facilitating procedures for real estate developers. The agreement includes activating the technical link between the “Itmam” systems and the National Water Company’s systems to enable the provision of electronic water and sanitation services through the “Itmam” platform, including connection point requests, design plans, requests to start implementation, and receiving works related to water and sanitation services for development projects.
It also stipulates the exchange of data and information between the two parties, and the allocation of electronic accounts for representatives of the National Water Company within the “Itmam” platform to follow up on, receive and process requests, which ensures the continuity of work in the event of a delay in the technical connection. This comes within the commitment of both parties to improve the user experience, raise the efficiency of coordination in processing technical requests, and develop digital solutions that ensure the quality of service and speed of completion.
This agreement is an extension of the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Water Company, through which the two parties seek to raise the level of integration in electronic services and simplify procedures for real estate developers, which contributes to improving the business environment, accelerating infrastructure development, and enabling residential and investment projects to obtain water services with high efficiency and quality.
It is worth mentioning that this agreement comes within the framework of promoting the digital transformation of the real estate development sector, unifying government efforts in facilitating services for beneficiaries, and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in improving the quality of life, raising the efficiency of municipal and housing services, and developing Saudi cities to keep pace with the aspirations of comprehensive development.
