The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing signed a joint memorandum of cooperation with the General Authority for Competition today, on the sidelines of the "Cityscape Global 2025" exhibition held in Riyadh from November 17 to 20..
The memorandum aims to enhance coordination between the two sides in the areas of protecting fair competition in the real estate and construction sector, and to raise the level of integration in the exchange of data related to contractors and classified establishments, in a way that contributes to improving market efficiency and compliance with relevant regulations..
The memorandum includes cooperation in a number of areas, including the exchange of information on violations observed among contractors in government projects, enabling the ministry to take regulatory measures in accordance with the contractor classification system and its implementing regulations, in addition to establishing secure electronic channels for data exchange and defining access controls and confidentiality levels..
