His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, will begin an official visit to the Swiss Confederation tomorrow, Tuesday, in a step aimed at deepening the partnership between the two countries in vital areas that support the major urban transformation that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing.
This visit comes at a time when the Kingdom is placing sustainability and innovation at the heart of its major development projects, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The visit aims to benefit from Swiss experiences and expertise in advanced building technologies, sustainable housing, and urban development, in order to contribute to the development of innovative housing and urban models that meet future aspirations.
The Minister of Municipalities and Housing will also focus his discussions with his Swiss counterparts and representatives of the private sector on attracting the latest technologies in the field of smart building, prefabricated construction, and digital transformation, in order to enhance the efficiency of the Saudi building and construction sector, reduce the environmental impact of projects, and support the quality of housing products.
The visit is part of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing’s strategy to localize leading technologies and build effective international partnerships, with the aim of developing a housing and construction system based on innovation and sustainability, and enhancing the Kingdom’s presence as an influential force in the future of global urban development.
