* The initiative aims to establish and improve rainwater and floodwater drainage networks across the Saudi cities by conducting strategic and hydrological studies, establishing floodwater and rainwater drainage networks and culverts, carrying out environmental rehabilitation of valleys and lowering the surface water level due to deficiencies in the rainwater and floodwater drainage networks, affecting safety of citizens.

* The initiative targets all segments and groups of society across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

* The initiative helps improve quality of services provided in cities by improving coverage and quality of rainwater drainage networks and preventing floods.

* Expected Impact: Protecting people and public and private property from threats of rain, floods and rising surface water levels.

* Outputs: Established and improved networks for rainwater drainage and flood prevention, culverts carried out in valleys, and bridges for drainage of floodwater across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
