The Owners Program recorded remarkable growth in the number of registered associations, exceeding 20,000 associations since the beginning of the program until the end of February 2022. The associations include more than 150,000 real estate units in all cities and regions of the Kingdom, noting that the growth rate in the number of new registered associations exceeded 800% compared to the months of January and February of 2021.

This issue comes as part of the efforts to contribute to the advancement of the real estate sector, spreading the culture of coexistence and preserving the rights of owners and occupants of jointly owned real estate units, and increasing the ownership of Saudi families within joint residential communities to reach an ownership rate of 70% by the year 2030, in accordance with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Owners Program explained in a press release that the increase in the number of owners' associations came within the framework of facilitating the electronic registration, activation, and approval of jointly owned property owners' units, in addition to addressing the challenges facing some associations, which was reflected in the willingness of residents of jointly owned units to establish owners' associations.

“Mullak” affirmed its continuous endeavor to provide owners’ needs for all housing services, noting the availability of a page within the “Mullak” electronic platform to provide the services of property managers, individuals and establishments, and an approved list of maintenance and operation companies to register and offer their services to owners’ associations, with the aim of organizing and facilitating the process of communication with service providers, and providing reliability that preserves the rights of both parties, in addition to many services and facilities for associations in all cities and regions of the Kingdom.

The electronic platform showcases a number of services through the community page, which includes: (building management, security systems, electrical and mechanical maintenance, general organization services, reception services), with the aim of creating an organized and safe environment in managing the common parts between owners in the same property. Service providers can be easily accessed by visiting the link mullak.housing.gov.sa .

It is worth mentioning that the “Mullak” program is concerned with regulating the relationship between owners of jointly owned real estate units through the development and application of approved systems and regulations, in addition to helping prepare support services in organizing and facilitating the management of common areas.
