The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing reviewed its experience in spending efficiency, and its efforts in applying best practices and methodologies to reach the goals set in the indicators of the Government Spending and Projects Efficiency Authority.
This came during a meeting that brought together the Director General of the General Department for Spending Efficiency at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Alaa Al-Amoudi, the Advisor to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Support Services, Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Fifi, and the Executive Director of Infrastructure Sector Empowerment at the Government Spending and Projects Efficiency Authority, Engineer Muhammad bin Yahya Zakari, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, in the presence of a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, and the Ministry of Spending Efficiency.
The meeting reviewed a report on the Ministry’s performance in spending efficiency programs and its successes in the municipal and housing sectors. The meeting also witnessed a review of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ achievements in the field of spending efficiency, its financial sustainability pillars and its future initiatives.
Al-Amoudi stressed that the Ministry’s spending efficiency system seeks to improve the Ministry’s work in several stages by applying the best local and international practices and methodologies, noting the support provided by the Government Spending and Projects Efficiency Authority through contributing to achieving spending efficiency in government agencies and improving the quality of projects, stressing the importance of cooperation between agencies in implementing programs and initiatives to achieve common goals and fulfill aspirations.
For his part, the CEO of the Empowerment Sector at the Government Spending and Projects Efficiency Authority praised the excellence achieved by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing in several areas, the latest of which was the Municipal Investment Forum “Opportunities”, which reflects its interest in raising the level of cooperation with the various government sectors and the private sector, in addition to activating integration, constructive coordination and partnership with all sectors, stressing that the work carried out by the Ministry has contributed to raising the spending efficiency index and developing the outputs of work and implemented programs.
