The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has announced its readiness for the Hajj season of 1446H, as part of its ongoing efforts through the Holy Capital Municipality and supporting municipalities to provide facilitated services for pilgrims in a safe environment. This is achieved through an integrated operational system covering service, inspection, health, and field aspects, in addition to support centers and emergency response units.

The Ministry’s and municipalities’ operational plan is based on the provision of resources and preparation of capabilities necessary to meet the needs of the Hajj season. The operational plan includes more than 2,800 heavy equipment and machinery, over 22,000 personnel from various technical and inspection specializations—including more than 14,000 personnel supporting cleaning services—as well as over 87,000 containers, 1,235 electric waste compactors with a capacity of up to 10 tons per unit, and 118 underground storage units.

Preparations also include 177 shelters with a capacity to accommodate 15,300 pilgrims, in addition to a main food safety laboratory with an operational capacity of over 700 samples per day, supported by 4 mobile laboratories, each capable of processing up to 200 samples per day. Moreover, a 940 Municipal Services Operations Center and a joint 911 Operations Center have been allocated to ensure rapid response and effective coordination, along with 28 municipal service centers in the holy sites: 22 centers in Mina, 3 centers in Muzdalifah, and 3 centers in Arafat. These centers are equipped with modern technologies and artificial intelligence to streamline procedures for pilgrims and deliver services efficiently.

As part of its efforts and volunteer initiatives, the Ministry, represented by the Holy Capital Municipality, has provided various volunteer pathways including public cleaning, inspection, food conservation, honoring the deceased, and others.

The Municipalities and Housing System continues to implement its operational and field plan to enhance infrastructure efficiency, service facilities, cleaning operations, and health inspection, while applying technological solutions that enable multilingual, real-time services to meet pilgrims’ needs at the holy sites.

These efforts reflect the continued commitment of the Municipalities and Housing System to providing the highest quality services during the Hajj season, ensuring efficient oversight, cleanliness, access to diverse services, and facilitating the pilgrims’ journey to perform the Hajj rituals with ease and peace of mind.
