His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, met with His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Housing of the Syrian Arab Republic, Engineer Mustafa Abdullah Abdul Razzaq, on the sidelines of the Kingdom’s participation in the 13th World Urban Forum held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.
During the meeting, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of housing were discussed, in addition to reviewing the Kingdom’s experience in this field, and discussing real estate policies and legislation and the most prominent initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life and supporting sustainable development.
His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen regional partnerships, exchange experiences, and transfer successful experiences in the field of housing, in order to support development efforts in sister countries.
The meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides, which aims to enhance institutional cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the fields of municipalities and housing, in order to contribute to the development of the housing sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and activating areas of joint cooperation, reflecting the depth of fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, and supporting housing objectives in both countries.
