The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing signed a joint memorandum of understanding with the Canadian Medical Center, as part of the activities of the Cityscape Global 2025 exhibition held in Riyadh from November 17 to 20, with broad local and international participation in the real estate development and urban services sector, under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Ehab bin Ghazi Al-Hashani.

The memorandum aims to develop intercity services for transporting remains, and to raise the quality and efficiency of services for honoring the deceased in line with modern health and regulatory standards, reflecting the level of care that the state – may God support it – gives to facilitating humanitarian services in all regions of the Kingdom. .

Under the memorandum, the two sides will work on studying and evaluating the current state of body transport services, analyzing field challenges and needs, and developing practical solutions that ensure rapid response and operational efficiency, in addition to developing related technical and administrative systems, in order to achieve integration between the public and private sectors in improving the level of service provided. .

The memorandum also stipulates cooperation in developing safety requirements and regulatory procedures for transporting bodies within and outside cities, enhancing the use of modern technologies in tracking operational processes and ensuring safe transport, in addition to working to improve the user experience and unify communication channels with relevant authorities. .

This memorandum comes within the framework of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's efforts to raise the efficiency of municipal services in Saudi cities, and to strengthen partnerships with the health and private sectors to develop services of a humanitarian and social nature, in order to achieve institutional integration and raise the level of services provided to citizens and residents, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building more humane and sustainable cities. .
