His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, revealed that the Kingdom’s pavilion participating in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, tells the story of the Kingdom’s participation as a model in the urban development process and distinctive housing stories, and addresses the story of the great transformation that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is witnessing on the ground.

Al-Haqil emphasized, during the opening of the Kingdom’s pavilion participating in the forum, that the Kingdom has witnessed change and its cities have become closer to the people, noting that the launch of the Saudi architecture map by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect him - has brought about a shift in the process of restoring the cities to their rich identity.

His Excellency promised that the developmental housing project is one of the most beautiful stories, as more than 50,000 families have acquired their homes in a short period. The level of ownership among eligible families balances the ownership rate across the Kingdom. The support programs provided to all families in general and eligible groups in particular are success stories linked to the Kingdom’s vision. He noted that all cities are undergoing replanning in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

His Excellency Al-Haqil noted the distinguished presence achieved by 8 Saudi cities in the IMD Smart Cities Index for 2026 issued by the International Institute for Management Development, which reflects the strength of the digital government in the Kingdom, praising the registration of 16 cities in the Health Index, which includes more than 80 elements that take into account the quality of life in healthy cities.
