Today, His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, inspected a number of development projects implemented by the Najran Region Municipality, with the aim of reviewing the progress of work on projects that serve the residents and reviewing the investment opportunities that the Ministry provides to the private sector during his visit to the region, accompanied by the Secretary of the Najran Region, Engineer Saleh bin Gharmallah Al-Ghamdi, and a number of the Ministry’s leaders.
During the visit, His Excellency directed that the best services be provided to citizens and residents in the region, noting the need to continue implementing projects according to the timetables to reach the specified completion rates in a way that meets the needs of the region’s residents. He also directed that investment opportunities be made available to companies and institutions to meet the demand for quality projects with the aim of raising the quality of life and improving the region’s services in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by advancing in the indicators of the most livable cities.
During his tour, Al-Haqil inspected several development projects, including the Al-Masmak roundabout project, King Abdulaziz Park, and the industrial wall. His Excellency’s tour also included a visit to Prince Jalawi Park and the interactive fountain, in addition to visiting the King Abdullah walkway project and a tour of King Fahd Park. His Excellency also visited the light garden project.
His Excellency visited the Events and Conferences Center building in Najran and reviewed the building's facilities, capabilities, and services. He also viewed a visual presentation of the Najran Region Municipality's projects implemented over the past five years and the capabilities they provide. He also discussed the most prominent challenges facing the municipality, the investment plan, and the achieved output. His Excellency also met with investors in the region to discuss the most prominent investment opportunities in the municipal sector in the Najran region, while emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the government and private sectors for the success of the development process in the region.
At the end of his tour, Al-Haqil praised the advanced completion rates and work progress, stressing the need to follow up on projects and their completion levels in coordination with the relevant authorities. He expressed his gratitude to His Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Governor of Najran Region, for his continuous support for the region and its people. He also commended the efforts of the Najran Region Municipality in utilizing vital investment sites that serve the region's residents, contributing to increased revenues and stimulating the region's economic, commercial, and investment activity.
