The Qassim Region Municipality and the Al-Ahsa Governorate signed contracts today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing in Riyadh for projects to allocate and improve municipal control work in partnership between the public and private sectors, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
The Qassim Region Municipality signed a 5-year contract with the National Company for Technical Inspection and Testing, represented by Engineer Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Majali, while Saleh bin Hamoud Al-Suwaiti represented the National Company. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Al-Ahsa Governorate, Engineer Essam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, signed the Al-Ahsa Governorate Municipality's contract with Check Safety First Company for a period of 5 years, which was represented by the General Manager, Turki bin Ahmed Baflah.
Under the two agreements, the National Technical Inspection and Testing Company and Check Safety First Company will undertake the work of monitoring public health and commercial markets, with the aim of improving the quality of municipal services provided to citizens, residents and visitors, adopting the best methods in city management, improving customer experience and raising compliance rates, in addition to improving the quality of life and enhancing its competitiveness in Saudi cities and governorates.
This comes as part of the work to achieve the objectives of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to raise the levels of commitment of owners of establishments and shops to the special and general requirements for practicing activities, and to reduce negative practices and raise the level of compliance, in order to achieve the satisfaction of beneficiaries and enhance their confidence in municipal services.
